Harbel, Liberia, West Africa – December 13th, 2018 – Firestone Liberia announces the appointment of a new Communications Manager, effective December 1, 2018.
Patrick R. Honnah joins the team which is responsible for creating opportunities to communicate Firestone’s many initiatives underpinning its commitment to employees, the local community and the Government of Liberia.
Prior to joining Firestone Liberia, Patrick served during Ellen Johnson Sirleaf’s administration as Deputy Director General for Rural Broadcasting and later as Deputy Director General for Broadcasting and Media Services at the Liberia Broadcasting System. His responsibilities were to manage, plan and coordinate activities on the National Radio, Television, and Online services as well as external media relations. He also served as the lead host of the station’s flagship talk show, The Bumper Show.
Patrick is the recipient of several awards, including the 2011 National Excellence Award in the Best Media Personality Category. He earned a Master of Public Administration in Public Sector Management from Cuttington University Graduate School and a Master of Arts in International Relations (high distinction) from the University of Liberia. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in management from the A.M.E Zion University College and a Certificate in Techniques of Radio and Television Broadcasting from the China Radio and Television International in Beijing.
