Harbel, Liberia, West Africa – 11 September, 2019: Firestone Liberia has again walked away with top honors as Most Compliant Taxpayer in the Natural Resource Sector at the Liberian Revenue Authority (LRA’s) annual Taxpayer Appreciation Awards.
The LRA singled out individuals, businesses and organizations with awards and certificates for special recognition at this year’s event. Winners were selected based on either their compliance, or their total tax contributions during the 2017/2018 fiscal period.
Firestone Liberia was recognized for its commitment to settling its taxes in a timely manner, which help support government’s development programs. As a reward, Firestone Liberia was given a one-year tax clearance by the Liberia Government through the Revenue Authority.
Presenting Firestone Liberia with the award, LRA Commissioner of Domestic Tax Darlingston Talery praised the natural rubber company and other businesses for being good tax payers in the interest of the country. He also assured companies that the Revenue Authority will continue to work to improve its relationship with the private sector.
