And our team is ready before dawn for a second full day of surgery. Yesterday the team handled 32 surgeries and today challenges us with an even longer list. All the patients did well and many are now "modeling" their repaired lips, palates or tummies (hernia free!). People have come from every corner of Liberia as well as Sierra Leone and Guinea. The team is beginning to "click" and the team at Firestone is making sure the doctors and nurses are well taken care of so they are ready for another day in the OR, pre-op and post-op wards.
